Yeah, I'm pretty aware this is WAAY off-topic, but I wanna play some iRacing, and I also race on the TV as I get more immersed.
To the problem, when I connect my pc with the TV through the HDMI cable my TV says something along these lines "Control if the connected unit is on, or control the cables output and input" and my pc doesn't even detect the television. However this is a brand new problem, last week I played just fine on the television and it connected instantly. Please help opponauts!
SAMSUNG 32' from around 2011
Same HDMI cable used everytime.
THANKS GUYS, ITS SOLVED.
For your troubles have a picture of an F10

If you're trying to plug the HDMI cable into the onboard video port but you have a secondary graphics card, that could be what's screwing it up. As soon as you plug a graphics card, it'll take over as default display unless you enable the onboard as well. That all depends on the type of computer you have so if that's the case, then Google it. If it's a HDMI on a graphics card, than you may need to update the drivers for it.

Did you switch HDMI ports on the TV. On my Samsung HDMI 1 only works with some devices (due to it being dual protocol with something else or something like that) but 2, 3, and 4 work with everything.
It drove me nuts when I was first setting it up.

By PC, do you mean, laptop or desktop?
Did you by chance bork the connection on the laptop end? If other devices are working fine, your problem is with the device.
Make sure you open up Screen Resolution (right click on the desktop in Windows 7/8) and check if maybe dual display isn't enabled. You can switch computers from duplicate, sharing, external only, and regular display only. If it didn't auto-detect, then there's your problem.

Does it show up as a second display when things are plugged in?

If you mean my computer screen then no, it only detects itself as 1, and even when I try identifying and registrating my television nothing happens.

I've never used HDMI but I guess you certainly need the latest drivers and you probably have a setting in the BIOS to disable onboard graphics(i don't have it since my motherboard lacks integrated gaphics). If you have that, disable the iGPU.By the way,I also have a HD5750 GDDR5 and the drivers from them are just crap. Each time I update my drivers I gotta go to safe mode and delete the leftovers, then I have to disable ULPS in the Windows registry, because if I don't,it'll crash almost all my games.ATI's(AMD's now) are cheaper but that's just because the drivers for them are utter shit.

It's a desktop. And I will try that!

And the ATI control panel won't recognize it? Did you change ports on your TV? Have you rebooted with the TV plugged in?

I'm gonna try, I switched from 3 to 1, but it might be down to the driver.

Re-downloading the driver, if that doesn't work I'm gonna restart the whole thing.

Yup, that would've been my next suggestion.
